Current Information:

On 7th March, 1916, HM Torpedo Boat 11 was operating in the North Sea along with the destroyer HMS Coquette when both vessels ran into a minefield laid by the German submarine UC-10. HMS Coquette hit a mine and began to sink and as HMTB 11 approached to pick up survivors, she too hit a mine. She broke in two and soon sank with the loss of 24 of her crew, including Frederick Laycock.
